How much are Classes & How do I pay? 

Classes are $5/person per class.  If you are SilverSneakers Eligible, they are free to you.

  

Payment can be made in Cash or Check (Made Payable to:  Strides to Empowerment) at the time of attendance.

I'm having difficulty signing up, now what?

Please email or text me  (512-608-8665) with what the issue so that I can help you resolve.  It is important that you sign up so that you can receive the confirmation and text reminder the day before with what to bring to class.

The class is full and I am on the waitlist, now what?   

Please send me an email or text to let me know.  When a spot opens due to a cancellation, I'll notify you ASAP that you've been added to the class.  

I Can't remember if I signed up for class?

Please look through your email the subject should tell you the day & time you're signed up for.

What is the format of the class?  

Most classes will include movements to improve muscular endurance and strength. Each class may have a different a focus (Unilateral exercises, endurance, tempo, strength, power/quickness, weights, bands, bodyweight, etc.)  


Please let Meredith know if you need any options and she will be happy to provide one to you.  


Weights are not required as all movements can be done with body weight or a reduced range of motion.

How do I know what to bring to class?

I will send out a reminder of what to bring, the day prior to class.  The list below are things that may be suggested

     1.  WATER (required). :-)

     2.  Sweat Towel (optional)

     3.  Yoga Mat/ towel / blanket folded up for cushion

     4.  Weights for arms and/or leg exercises (optional)

     5.  Bands (Optional)

     6.  $5 class fee or if SilverSneakers eligible, bring your number for 1st class

I will need some options due to a medical condition.

Please be sure to consult your physician before participating in one of these classes.  

You will be required to sign a  Fitness Waiver and Assumption of Risk  prior to class.  


If you have been cleared to participate by your physician, please let me know prior to class and I will do my best to ensure you have a suitable option.  


Most options can be made with the use of a chair or wall for support, using bands or bodyweight vs. weights, reducing the range of motion, and decreasing the intensity.

I have family/friend(s) in town, can I bring them? 

YES, Please do.  They will be required to sign the waiver & assumption of risk prior to class and pay the required class fee.  (Please add their name(s) next to yours on the sign up form or have them fill out the form on their own if you think they will visit often.  

Can my child/grandchild participate?  

Minors over the age of 8 years old may participate only with the consent of the parent or guardian.  The parent or guardian must be present (in class) for the minor to be able to participate. A waiver and assumption of risk will be required by the parent/guardian prior to participation.  *Please notify me when you sign up his/her age and name.  

Can my child/grandchild sit in the room with me while I participate?

Any minor(s) may remain in the room as long as they are out of the way from those working out, are well behaved and do not disrupt the class.  (If bringing an electronic device, please provide them with headphones or mute the sound.)
